The flat Iron Steak is probably one of the most under-appreciated steaks. This is a tender and flavorful steak. Perfect for the grill (or broiling) this steak has such a great flavor that it requires no real seasoning. Tender enough to cook through medium without marinade (thought a good idea if cooking beyond medium). This is a perfect steak on it's own.

This was my first order with Massa and I wanted to try a variety of steaks so i ordered a couple of each of several different kinds. So far I have tried the Flat Iron and Petite Tender. Both were excellent but there was one bit a surprise. Even though the Petite Tender is supposed to be the second most tender cut (which it was very tender) I actually thought and my wife did as well the Flat Iron was even more tender and flavorful. We wanted to let the steaks speak for themselves so we only seasoned with some kosher salt and threw them on the grill and cooked to medium rare. W let them rest a few minutes and dug in. WOW!! Excellent!! We will defiantly be ordering again!! Can't wait to try the others and the roast we bought as well.

Nothing like a good steak to start the day off right. I defrosted this steak that I bought when it was on a weekly special. Finally decided to give it a try. This morning I took it out of the frige when I got up. Let it sit out to get to room temp. Later heat the frying pan so coconut oil is starting to smoke. About two minutes on each side and you have a great steak for breakfast. It is a thin steak so don't cook it long. I do have one regret. Should have bought a dozen of them when they were on sale

I love all the products from Massa Natural Meats. All of their products are made with love and it shows. This cut is my favorite. My monthly order is almost entirely of this item. It is very tender, and there is absolutely no waste. I cook it in high at first, then medium, then low heat and it comes out wonderful. It also has a very full balanced flavor, I compare it to a good aged wine. I don't even add salt to it. I use Ghee and spices and I absolutely love it. Highly recommend it.
